Christoph Bley

Christoph Bley studied music transmission/sound engineer with piano as his main subject at the renowned Erich-Thienhaus-Institute of the Detmold University of Music.
During his studies he took a two-year break for language and cultural studies in Beijing/China. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and feels especially comfortable in international and multilingual projects.
After his studies, his focus shifted from recording studios to live stages. After working at the Munich \”Jazzclub Unterfahrt\” he soon gained first experiences in concert touring with productions like \”Santiano – live in Concert\” and \”Disney in Concert\”. Later, Arena tours as FOH and monitor engineer with Florian Silbereisen, DJ Ötzi and Eisbrecher followed, as well as regular engagements as FOH mixer for music acts like \”The Weather Girls\” and \”Michelle\”.
He remains true to his roots in the recording business through regular collaborations with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and the Munich Philharmonic.
His teaching activities in the field of recording have taken him to Mongolia and China for the Goethe Institute. A lecture series for China is in progress.
Christoph Bley lives in a suburb of Munich.
