Zahava Rodrigo

Zahava Rodrigo studied philosophy and German at the University of Potsdam, and starting in 2009 she studied at the University of Fine Arts (HFBK) in Hamburg with an emphasis on stage set design. She creates stage and costume designs for works in music theater, dance, and theater, and she collaborates with, among others, the directors Leonie Böhm; Benjamin van Bebber; and Felix Meyer-Christian; and with the group Costa Compagnie. She was worked on projects at Kampnagel Hamburg; Theater Bremen; Schauspielhaus Zürich; Radialsystem V; Volksbühne Berlin; Theater Oberhausen; Münchner Kammerspiele; and The Ballhaus Ost. In addition, she has designed installation works for exhibitions at, among others, Bundeskunsthalle Bonn; Städtische Galerie Wolfsburg; and the Ruhrtriennale. The performance MANGO SHOP in 2019 was the first time Rodrigo developed a theatrical work as artistic director.
