Katharina Vogt

Katharina Vogt (born 1984) initially studied medicine, and later on she studied music education with a major in viola in Berlin and Dresden. While she was still studying music she joined the composition class of Professor Manos Tsangaris. Her almost exclusively music theater works are often created in collaboration with Tobias Eduard Schick. As a violist she has collaborated with well-known composers such as Helmut Lachenmann and Mathias Spahlinger, and her compositional works have been performed in Germany and Switzerland (for example, at new talents cologne; the Akademie der Künste in Berlin; and Dampfzentrale Bern). Furthermore she works at the Dresden Municipal Hospital as an assistant physician in radiology.
