Twitter dialogue with Cindy Press and Manos Tsangaris

Based on the festival motto “Point of NEW Return,” Manos Tsangaris (who is one of the artistic directors of the Munich Biennale together with Daniel Ott) and the “Residence author” Cindy Press will enter into a Twitter dialogue. This “speech balloon back-and-forth,” as Manos Tsangaris calls it, is to a certain extent a comic in a virtual realm. Cindy Press and Tsangaris will start a dialogue on the festival motto and reflect upon the medium of music theater on the social media platform Twitter. What interests Manos Tsangaris about this? “We will be constantly thrown back to the form, we have to answer using two sentences, produce phrases, endure new impulses. This follows an escapist performance instinct, far beyond any academic-scientific treatise, and in return filled with ricochets, not compulsively constructive, but always alongside the theme of the festival.”
