Doris Dziersk is a scenographer and visual artist and lives in Leipzig. She designs stage sets and installations for Meg Stuart (e.g. FORGERIES, LOVE AND OTHER MATTERS, BLESSED, UNTIL OUR HEARTS STOP), Enrico Stolzenburg, Peter Kastenmüller, Matthaei & Konsorten, Gesine Danckwart, Doublelucky and Angelika Waniek. In addition to the performative context, she develops spatial concepts for temporary gatherings such as \”The New Infinity\” (Berliner Festspiele) and the Tanzkongress 2019. In her installations she explores physical and haptic approaches to themes such as home, community, and the production and dissemination of knowledge, e.g. in X-apartments in Caracas and Berlin, for the Steirischer Herbst, the C 60 Collaboratorium (Wissen Kneten 2014), at the invitation of raumlabor berlin and in collaboration with the visual artist Anke Philipp. Doris Dziersk was awarded a Hamburg Rolf Mares Prize in 2009 and a Bessie Award in 2012 for her installation for BLESSED.
