Alexis Baskind, born in France and living in Berlin, is a musician,
Music producer and sound director. He has recording technology (with Benoit
Fabre in the Conservatoire National de Région d\’Aubervilliers/la-Courneuve)
and musical acoustics (IRCAM/Paris). In 2003 he graduated from the
University Paris 6 / IRCAM with the topic \”Analysis models and methods
of the spatial properties of sound recordings\”. Since then
he works for and with many composers, musicians, labels and
institutions for music productions such as IRCAM, the Conservatoire
National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, CIRM (Nice), the
American Composers Orchestra, and the Banff Centre for the Arts
(Canada). He has worked with composers such as Philippe Leroux, Beat
Furrer, Hanspeter Kyburz, Héctor Parra, Pedro Amaral, François Paris,
Philippe Hurel, Vladimir Tarnopolsky, Alexandros Markéas, Fabián
Panisello, Turgut Erçetin, Fabià Santcovsky, Rebecca Saunders, and
the director Jean-François Peyret in the context of studio productions
as well as music, dance and theatre projects, which are based on
electronic music and acoustic instruments. He is
former professor for theory and practice of music transmission at the
University of popular arts FH (Berlin) and lecturer at the
Hochschule für Musik Detmold, and regularly practices teaching
(workshops, master classes, seminars) on acoustics, sound engineering and
Computer music production at music academies, universities and various
music-oriented institutions.
