Jakob Boeckh

Jakob Boeckh (b. 1994) is currently studying fine arts in the theater class of Professor Raimund Bauer at the Hochschule für bildende Künste (HFBK) in Hamburg. Previously he studied at the Institute for Applied Theater Studies at the Justus-Liebig University, Giessen; at the Academy for Music and Theatre Arts at Falmouth University (U.K.); and he also studied theater studies and philosophy at the University of Leipzig. In a long-term collaboration with Maria Huber and Ole Hübner he develops and tests new collaborative methods for the creation of music theater that are discursive, grassroots democratic, and process-oriented. In addition, he was granted scholarships from the 96amstück festival in Basel in 2018 and from the AUFTAKT festival in Cologne in 2019.
